I need to reconfigure Grub Manually

I tried to put three O.S.s on one drive and two on another and one of the O.S.s on the second drives hangs. I have tried reinstalling them with one of the drives disconnected and so on and get the same result. If I reinstall grub it puts all the O.S.s on the boot menu but still hangs on one of the O.S.s.
An explanation of what Grub puts where would be a great help.

I would download Supergrub and use it to fix your Grub loader; it is located here:
http://www.supergrubdisk.org/
Cheers!
