RHLinux 9 Installation failure
hello guys,
My PC has the ff specs:
Intel Pentium 3, SL5L T, 1133/256/1.475 processor
Pentium 3 M791G Model motherboard
HD: 20GB
RAM: 128MB
Video card - onboard
I tried installing RH9.0 and everything went fine until I got the error: "error in Kernel 2.4.20-8".....then I had to reboot and cancel the installation.
Pls help:
1. are the specs above ok for RH9.0? can you give me suggestions on possible configurations that will work well with RH9.0?
2. Does RH work well with on-board video cards
3. on getting the "error in Kernel 2.4.20-8" error, the message said the problem might be with my hardware, media....... I had tested the 3-CDs using the test feature on the RH9 software before I continued with the installation and I was informed that the 3CDs are ok to use for the installation.
Pls, what could be the problem and how can I sort it out?
thanks

such a problem comes due to a corrupt iso image of the media you are using. Normally the media would pass all tests but it's contents are in fact corrupt.
Try changing the media and thinks will work fine.
