like I deleted some partitions so now home is on a nother patition
I hacked my way into x as root but cant log in as user because kde cant find home
so where is config for home please

hey... you mean that you hack your way to be an admin user... so you just have to change the /etc/fstab configuration
thats it
just add the new partion ei...
/dev/hda2 / ext2 1 1
/dev/hda3 swap 0 0
/dev/hda4 /home ext2 0 0
the /dev/hda4 could be change to the drive or filesystem for new /home
