Can't seem to install anything I download incl. a new Cannon print

Does anyone have any idea what this means lol I'm Technically Challenged!

One cannot use .exe files with linux as you are trying.

Go to OpenPrinting | The Linux Foundation
and start reading at the section "Second Generation of OpenPrinting Database Pages Online!"

You're trying to use a Windows install file on Linux. Won't work. You need the Linux files. Canon may or may not provide them. Canon isn't especially Linux-friendly.
