Alright. nolapic didn't work. I've tried a few different boot conditions and none seem to work, save acpi=off, which disables brightness/power management controls as well as any fn key shortcuts. Not sure if this is supposed to happen or not, but my fan does run after booting acpi=off. Not full blast and I haven't heard it change at all, but at least it's going on some level...
If anyone has any idea what to do besides booting with this condition and frying my retinas/killing my battery, it'd be greatly appreciated.

Keep experimenting, I once had a Toshiba that would only run AntiX, Puppy, and Imagineos of the 30 or 40 I tried.
