Boot disk
Hi there,
ok, so I had dual boot with Mandrake 10.0 and XP. My XP dozed off and I needed to reinstall and now it has (of course
) removed LILO. I didn't think of making a boot disk for Mandrake and now I can't get into Mandrake. I have searched the net to find premaid bootdisks (www.bootdisk.com)that I can just download, to no avail.
Does anybody have the possibility to let me download or mail me the files...?
please?! :P

The second partition of the first hard drive is hda2, not hda 1.
As for your boot problem, download a rescue disk, such as RIP Linux http://www.tux.org/pub/people/kent-r...looplinux/rip/, boot from it, mount your linux partition in /mnt, chroot to /mnt, and run lilo. Then exit and reboot. chroot is the easiest way to do it and be sure you run lilo on you linux partition instead of lilo on the boot disk.
mount /dev/hda2 /mnt
chroot /mnt
lilo
exit
reboot
