    So no need to buy anything.

    VERY IMPORTANT! When the computer reboots, you will have to enter the GRUB boot loader (hold the SHIFT key in Ubuntu). Once you are in the GRUB boot loader, choose the UNetbootin entry to test your ISO image. That's it!
    Reading the link. Grub2 may be a issue, (reading comments) since all you said was

    which currently has Ubuntu.
    Lot's of Ubuntu versions. On 10.10 on up. Not sure if this will work?\

    Where are you purchasing your DVDs? I get top-quality ones (Verbatim, Tayo Yuden) for about 20c per disc for a 4.7GB single layer disc.
