How to log in ? - Yoper

i am at the following screen:

How do I log in ?

type startx or kdm to turn the lights on

That does not work........I can not get to type that. It starts booting
and then I get to black screen, and see nothing.......if I boot from install cd
I can then get to point to typ commands, but I believe I am still on the
cd install disk, and don't know how to get to the c drive where yoper is located. Please help
