    Just giving mhismail my "personnal" experiences with 12.04 and pentium 4 machines. NEITHER of mine would boot to the live version without installing more memory. After installation I was able to run with 1 gb memory. I'm not sure why this was. I just know that's what I had to do to get live to boot up. Just trying to help him out and get him running.

    I think devis casper is saying right ...but then also please check for Drivers ....i.e. I think there is need of drivers and you haven't installed it on your machine ...thats why u are facing problem...
