is there a tool for linux that will partition a drive that will format and check the drive after you partition it.
The computer made me do it!! Slackware

GNU parted will partition and format partitions for you, but it won't check them. Use badblocks(8) to check for bad sectors.

User fdisk to partition your hardrive and fsck to check your partitions integrety.
