mounting real time operating sys on linux rh9

hey guys i got a hard disk that has "real time operating sys" on it, i connected it to my red hat 9 box, but i'm not able of mounting it
can anyone pleas help me i really need help desperatly

I take it that you don't know what's on it? Try using "file -s /dev/hda /dev/hda1" and "fdisk -l /dev/hda".

I checked it out and the system recognize it as hdb .. when I try to
fdisk -l /dev/hdb .. I receive an error .. Disk /dev/hdb doesn't contain a valid partition table.

OK, did you try "file -s /dev/hdb"?

Are you sure you ran fdisk /dev/hdb and not /dev/hdb1. I have seen that error before when fdisk is ran against a partition and not the actual disk.

yeah i did the secound one, /dev/hdb
how can u mount rtos on linux?? that is the question
and it's making me loos my mind lol

Do you know if it uses some non-IBM partitioning scheme? Anyway, have you tried booting from it and see if it works?

no i don't think so
anyay this new hard disk i took it from "AOLTV" i don't know if anybody knows this machin, but it has a hd that conatin the rtos thing
