    Instaling Adobe Reader from a .bin file on Mageia 2


    I can find no rpm's for Adobe Reader for Mageia 2. I have downloaded the .bin file for the latest Adobe (9.5.5.*), How do I install this on my PC please?

    This should be a shell script. You either need to run it with sh/bash, or you need to change the file attributes to be executable (chmod +x filename.bin).
    Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.

    Thank you, it is so long since I had to do this I had forgotten how, probably speaks for how good Mageia is at automatic install routines. Adobe is now installed on my PC and is working. Much appreciation.
