Question Dual-Boot Windows 8 and Ubuntu

Hi, I need help on how to install Ubuntu 13.04, so that I will be able to choose between booting my current installation of Windows 8 and Ubuntu.

    My disk configuration:
    Disk 1:
    letter: *
    PartID: 7
    Size: 204800
    FsId: 7
    Label:
    Primary: 1
    Bootable: 1
    BootVolume: 1
    SystemVolume: 0

    letter: D
    PartID: 7
    Size: 488185792
    FsId: 7
    Label: Stuff
    Primary: 0
    Bootable: 0
    BootVolume: 0
    SystemVolume: 0
    Disk 2:
    letter: *
    PartID: 131
    Size: 107890688
    FsId: 7
    Label: Linux
    Primary: 1
    Bootable: 0
    BootVolume: 0
    SystemVolume: 0

    letter: C
    PartID: 7
    Size: 380502016
    FsId: 7
    Label: Windows
    Primary: 1
    Bootable: 1
    BootVolume: 0
    SystemVolume: 1

I would like to have Ubuntu on the partition on disk 2 with the label Linux, so how do you do this?

    Thanks in advance!

You need to get some information on Linux partition naming because the English capital letter stuff won't apply. No "C" or "D", etc.
Drives generally are sda (first drive), sdb ( second drive), sdc (third drive). You then add a digit for the partition; sda1 is first drive, first partition. The partition you want will probably be labelled sdb1 but you can get that when you boot Ubuntu from the installation medium by opening a terminal and running this command: sudo fdisk -l(Lower Case Letter L in the command). During the installation you would have the opportunity to select which drive/partition on which to install.

I would recommend reading a tutorial or two on installing Ubuntu, there are many available with step-by-step instructions such a the one below:

    Install Ubuntu 13.04 | Ubuntu

If you have windows 8 pre-installed, you may have Secure Boot in the BIOS which you may need to disable first.
