    OpenSuse 12.3 instalation help


    Hey everyone
    I've to install opensuse
    So I've two HDD on first one I've win7 and I want opensuse on second HDD
    its step what I'm doing
    1: Unplugged first HDD
    2: openSUSE-12.3-DVD-x86_64.iso downloaded it from opensuse page and made bootable usb
    3: time keyboard bla-bla
    4: using partion settinges as suggested
    5: and bootloader
    boot from MBR is disabled
    boot from "/" is enabled

    and also boot from root partition is enabled

    so everything is going fine no errors but after reboot system isn't starting ((
    only black screen with GRUB word on it

    Hope Someone will help me it's very importent to me

    5: and bootloader
    boot from MBR is disabled
    boot from "/" is enabled
    Normally, boot from MRB should be enabled and boot from '/' should be disabled. 'boot from MRB' will install grub to MBR of hard disk, so that you can launch both Windows and Linux from there.

    Does your machine support UEFI or old BIOS firmware method?

    Most of tutorials have such settinges

    I've no idea I've G31M-S motherboard and latest 2.10 bios version

    Try installing with all the hard drives installed (so don't unplug the one with Windows). Install openSUSE on the second hard drive and then choose to install the bootloader on the MBR.
