Boot hang......
G'day
Recently installed Yellow Dog on my PPC, everything went hunkydory except I couldn't get connected to the net with KPPP, modem would disconnect just after connecting.
So I sodded around with some stuff and now when i try and boot into YDL the process hangs on "Bringing up interface ppp0"
Any help on how to fix?
Do I need to reinstall?
Am a newbie with Linux, so explanations in plain english please,

YDL is based on RH, right? If that's the case, you should be able to enter "interactive" startup by pressing I or something before init has entered a runlevel. If you can't do that, you'll have to pass "init=/bin/sh" to the kernel via your boot loader. I don't know the PPC bootloaders, though, so I can't tell you how.

Yup
YDL is basically RH for the PPC chip. I'll try your suggestion. Since I have to cold boot from the hang I am not sure at what stage the interactive setup starts - but I'll tool around and try and figure it out.
