Which tends to be "lighter", Debian or Arch??

I know there's a lot of factors but generally, given the same desktop, say MATE or Xfce, both of which normally use around 130-150MB of RAM, which back end, Debian(Point Linux based on Debian Stable)or Arch(i.e. Manjaro) would be lighter and run better on limited equipment? I know Manjaro runs pretty well on my laptops but I wonder if my wife's Netbook would run better with it over the Point Linux install that's on it now. Thanks.
No matter where ya' go, there ya' are.

I don't think you'll notice a huge difference. It's generally the desktops that hinder older/underpowered machines.
