Can't boot Ubuntu installation without UEFI!

I'm trying to install Ubuntu on my old laptop. The problem is that the laptop doesn't got UEFI BIOS, and the USB refuses to boot without it. I've changed the boot-order so that the USB-drive boots first, but all I get is a black screen.
Tried to boot it with a computer that has UEFI, and then it works fine.

    What can I do?

Going by your post it looks like you have an image that's EFI only since it works on a computer with UEFI. You could search for info to created EFI only USB image and see it's that matches what you have on your USB. In that case you might need to find another image that would work with non-EFI systems.
