FC3 Won't boot after installation....sometimes!
Hi everyone, I've got a strange boot problem . I have successfully installed (singal boot) FC3 on an old PC, spec is as follows:
Gigabyte GA-7ZXR mobo,
Athlon 800
GForce Ti 4400
Flatron L1710B screen - connected via the digital channel.
Seagate 10Gb HDD
CD
I had no problem with the install and when install complete did a reboot and loged in as root, used the KDE had a quick play - all seemed fine and dandy, logged out, then a shutdown.
I have just booted up the PC and it got as far as the 'INIT 2.85 booting' then the screen swithed off, the machine didn't re-boot and there was some disk activity (I think).
I then re-booted, and it wouldn't get pased the BIOS system check.
Rebooting again and it wouldn't do anything, not even the graphics card info telling me it's got 128Mb!
I then rebooted and it successfully loaded up and now it's working!
Could this be an nvidia problem? Anyone shed any light on this??
Regards

...update, since I typed that last post I booted Linux - it worked, then I returned to the XP session (switching using a Belkin KVM switch), did some other stuff for 10 minutes then switched back to the Linux session and the display had gone again!! ctrl-alt-del rebooted it, but again it wouln't get past the "INIT 2.85 booting" before the diplay switched off.
