    Hi all,

    I was tryng to install ubuntu on my laptop in a dual partition with windows xp, but I think I've done some mistakes...
    Now when I boot my machine I just see a black screen with GRUB.
    It says "Minimal BASH-like line editing is supported. For the first word, TAB....."

    grub>

    I don't really know what write to continue boot up windows or ubuntu.

    What do I have to do?

    Allways sorry my computer-ignorance!!!

    thaks in advance

    Try having a look at nerderello's great grub tutorial

    The part which disscusses your problem is about half way down.

    hope this helps;

    Hey could you update that link? I'm having the same exact problem, and I'd like to read more about this Grub. Thanks!
