    probably 600-700 megs (it is a full CD iso)

    http://linuxiso.org has all the distros to download. I downloaded Mandrake 9.0 (3 CDs) in about 2 hours on a cable modem.

    If you live anywhere a little close to sweden to Sweden, I'd recommend http://ftp.sunet.se/. SUNet's FTP servers have almost all versions of almost all linux distribs on ISOs (and some other formats too), and their connection is REALLY nice. I have an ADSL connection with 2.5 MBit downstream, and I always download from them at full speed, and I think everyone does, no matter what connection they may have. I don't know how fast the routers to other parts of world are, though. I'd guess it should be fast if you live in Europe, at least.
