    when you say "from the root" do you meen with "root-user" ? or install the software in "root-directory"? If it's installing a software user SuperUser account "root priviledge" Here's a very well written how to on installating software under linux. If however you want to install the software in the "root" directory, this shouldnt be done since only root have and should have access to this folder. /usr/local is usually where program are installed.

    This will change user to root then make the .bin file executable and then execute the .bin
    Code:
    su - && chmod 755 /path/to/the/bin/file.bin; /path/to/the/bin/file.bin

    You can do this easier by :
    Code:
    su root
    (enter your root password obviously)
    chmod +x /path/to/bin/file.bin
