booting feather linux off a usb drive

I got feather on my jumpdrive all right. THough it won't boot. I need a boot disk or floppy that'll make my computer boot from a usb device. The computer doens't support booting from a usb. Though I am told there are floppys and programs that make it do so. The computer is currently runnning suse 9.1 I tried the two floppy bootloaders on feather linux's site. Both boot up to the feather linux screen, but cause the computer to restart when I press enter at "boot:".

Did you configure in BIOS to boot-up your computer from a USB/ZIP drive?
