System won't boot from CD... Bootstrap floppy?
Hi there.
I've aquired a fairly old system, and I'm trying to install Linux on it. My only trouble is, it can't boot from CD.
Nearly all my floppies are dead (I've not used them for *ages*) but I expect I could dig out one or two OK ones.
I'm hoping that there's a bootable floppy image out there that'll then go on to let me boot from the installation CD.
Does anybody know of one?
Thanks in advance.

I believe that there are some bootfloppies on some of the install disks of some distros. I know that if you look within a FC3 cd, there will be a file you can use to make a bootfloppy for it;

I've trawled through too many Google results to count, but I don't have any leads.
Which Fedora disk is it on, and will I be able to boot other CDs from it?

The Fedora one will only work with fedora, but there was a post a month or so ago asking roughly the same thing, so I'd use the sites search function.
