    Problems reading CD

    Recently i have had problems with installing ANY linux distribution...

    1) All windows cds work with windows and boot
    2) All linux cds work read on windows... but when i boot from a linux cd it gets to the installation and then the cd will stop spinning and it will error out.. it does this with every linux installlation ive tried... i have installed linux before and it worked just right.. but ever scince i removed it i cant get it to install again.. Anyone have any suggestion on how to get it to work again?

    I have a pioneer dvd-114 dvd/cdrom drive...
