It didn't matter if I put numbers behind the initrd or not.How to know if you are a geek.

It looks like you havn't ststed your rootpartition for sourcemage, and I didn't see a initrd file, so I dont think sourcemage has it so there is no point having it in the menu.lst, try having the following menu.lst:
let me know how it goes
title sourcemage
kernel (hd0,4)/boot/vmlinubz root=/dev/hda5
###Don't change this comment - YaST2 identifier: Original name: linux###
title SUSE LINUX 9.2
kernel (hd0,6)/boot/vmlinuz root=/dev/hda7 vga=0x31a selinux=0 splash=silent
resume=/dev/hda6 desktop elevator=as showopts
initrd (hd0,6)/boot/initrd

That did the trick, I now have tne triple boot system that it seems I have been trying to create for a long time.
At first, I just took out the initrd line, but I forgot to put in the root=/dev/hda5 line. So, i got a kernel panic. But once I put that line in, it booted up fine, thank you for all your help.
Now to go and configure X, which is a daunting task in itself.How to know if you are a geek.
