I just installed Mplayer the other nite, however when I attepmt to run it, I get a quick pop up window then it just disappears.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

mplayer
i am experiencing the same problem for so long. in fact, mplayer is running properly. Problem is that, there is no item on my panel. no player bar or video screen. when i try to run a movie or mp3 with mplayer, i can either watch or listen but cannot adjust any property as i dont have a bar on my panel. any help will be appreciated. please hear me and pauld!

I'm not expert at mplayer. You might want to read the manulpage on mplayer to learn how to run it in the terminal. Try
orCode:man mplayer
