it's got nothing to do with the actual topic, but i'd like to ask you for an advice, please.
is there any easy, and i mean easy wasy to install packages from source in linux? or to convert sources to .deb?
btw, what do you do with .run files? simply clicking on them doesn't help.

you can convert sources to .deb with the alien program. as for installing from source, there is a good guide in the Linux Tutorials Section
