Installing Linux 8 on Windows XP
Hi !!
I have a seriously problem, i am so newbie.
I have installed Windows XP on my pc, y checked the HCL for installing linux. I want to install linux on windows xp.
What can i do? I need the correct steps to avoid errors, i have have importants files on my pc and i don't want to lose them.

Linux? What distro....i didnt see you list what one you are trying to install...

The question is simple, I have windows Xp. What do i have to do to install Linux 8 without install Windows Xp.

The lastest stable version of linux is 2.4.21. Anyway you are probably talking about redhat which is at 9. You need to resize your partition and then boot the redhat install cds. It was partition your free space for you and setup a bootloader to dual boot xp and linux.
