attempting to do LinuxFromScratch
but one problem: It does not recognize my network setup when I boot from the livecd. I have had this problem before with other distros, which is why I have previously been restricted to Xandros and Fedora, the only distros that I have installed that recognized my ethernet card, which is a D-Link PCI card. I think that the problem might be that it is recognizing my motherboard's ethernet(which does not work) first, and stopping before it gets to my PCI ethernet.
I can't download the packages until I can hook up to the internet. does anybody know what I am supposed to do to have LFS recognize it?

If you can't get it to work with the live cd, use whatever distro you got installed, or install one, as your host.
