Yah, I figured out how to use the tar.bz2 iso and i think i would rather use the athlon live cd.
however, I am planning on rewriting the docs for myself that are relevant or are erroneous at least. I am thinking of doing a stage 1 or 2 using the live cd and NOT using GRP at all since it seems to be busted.

I wrote a guide on how to install Gentoo using stage 1 and the live cd;s with some workarounds which is on my main site's homepage (link)
if anyone cares to use it or review it for anything I might have missed, that would be cool.
It is just text right now, I have yet to pretty it up
