Slackware boot cd
I apologise if this has already been covered, haven't really got time to search as Im at work.
I have Slackware 8.1 on cd, but it wont boot. It does boot in other pcs. I then tried a winbl0ws XP cd in the same drive and it booted fine. OK maybe a bad burn.
So I download Slackware 9.0 and have burn't it 3 times, once as slow as 16 speed, and it still wont boot in this pc. I have tried a standard cd rom drive aswell as a DVD rom drive.
Any ideas?

You proberly tried but have you checked out the BIOS to check if its boot of your cd-rom before the HD? And is it an old machine sometimes they cannot boot from cd. Try rawrite and make a boot floppy.

Re: Slackware boot cd
So it's NOT a problem with booting from CDs, just this CD. What program are you using to burn the .iso? And what mode are you burning it in?

Im using the latest version of Nero, and yes I have checked boot order. I even disabled the HDD.
It does attempt to boot from the cd, however it says BOOT FAILURE.
Boots fine on other pcs which leads me to believe the mode I am writing it in is correct.
