Boot Virus???
I just installed KnoppMYth and am restarting for the first time and i get this message. "Trend ChipAwayVirus has detected a boot virus on your hard disk, press enter for more information." I press enter and it tells me i need a clean bootable floppy disk. What do I do? This seems bad.

I'd probably disable that in the BIOS. First thing I turned off on my machine years ago.
Where did you obtain KnoppMyth? If it's from a trusted source, I'd venture a guess that it's a false hit.Registered Linux user #384279

According to Distrowatch, http://mysettopbox.tv/ is the homepage for Knoppmyth.
I would get the ISO from there if I were you.How to know if you are a geek.

It was a link on the KnoppMyth website. If you go to the Mysettopbox site and go to download, the first link you see is the one i used.

It could be some crazy 'anti-virus' on windoewz if you have it.

I haven't enabled any boot sector virus checking on any pc I have owned. And I have never had a problem. How to know if you are a geek.

Me neither, no boot-partition virus checking here... It probably think LILO/GRUB is a virus...
