    Editing XP boot.ini (SUSE 9.3)

Hi, I just installed a new hard drive with a clean install of WinXP. The 2nd hdd (the old one) has SUSE 9.3 installed. The 2nd drive also had XP installed (now deleted) in a dual boot configuration using Grub and both OSs booted fine.

With the changes I was wondering how to edit the XP boot.ini to allow booting to the SUSE install. I have a Knoppix CD so I should be able to access the SUSE files. I'm a Linux newbie so be gentle. Thanks in advance.

You'll want to check out: Using NTLOADR to boot Linux.

Thanks. I checked out the link and followed the directions, booting with a Knoppix live-cd. The good news is I have access to the SUSE files, the bad news is using "fdisk -l" (displaying the two drives and all partitions) only the XP partition contains boot information according to an asterisk. Unless someone has another idea I figure my next option is to reinstall SUSE.
