Problems with redhat 9 install - hangs during boot
I just installed red hat 9.0 and now it wont complete the booting up process.
I am able to select the boot option and then a bunch of lines are printed out on the screen. The boot hangs after the following line:
apm: BIOS version 1.2 Flags 0x03 (Driver Version 1.16)
I tried to doing a rescue but it came back and said nothing was wrong. I looked through the online manuals at redhat and i could not find this error.
Thank you for your time,
Collin

from what I can tell, try passing apm=off to the kernel at boot
this page explains how to change run levels at boot, do what it says, but instead of changing the run level just pass the kernel that amp=off codeLive in the sunshine, swim the sea, drink the wild air...
