totally lost!!

hey, im really really new to linux and i cant get ANYTHING installed. iv been trying to install wine and limewire but no good, so anyone helping would be greatly appreciated! right now im running jamd.

Limewire is a java program and therefore requires java to be installed on your m/c. Suggest you go to
www.java.sun.com
to get a copy of j2re this before you install it.

As for wine suggest you go to
www.winehq.com
and read their docs on howto install.
