Re: Multiple Linux o/s with windows98
I'm not sure what you're asking. Do you want to keep MS Windows and run several Linux versions on the same harddrive?

im kind of confused by your question
if you're asking if you can keep your windows installation and install linux on your computer, the answer is yes, provided you have enough hard disk space
but if you're asking if you can uninstall windows and intsall linux, why would you want to keep your windows FAT32 partition?
if this hasn't helped, please clarify your question

If your asking if you can have windows and more than one linux on a computer, then yes you can (as long as the hard drive space permits).

If you'e asking if linux can read FAT32-partitions, then yes. But please, as most other toldto, can you redefine your question?

Appologies for a badly worded question....
I want to use the windows 98 partition for another linux distro.
I have now 1 win 98 and 2 linux partitions and wish to remove win98 and install another linux Distro.
again appologies

You probably want to just delete the Win98 partition all together and let the installer for the Linux distribution you want to add install to the empty space. There's no reason to keep the FAT32 partition if you're going all-Linux.

All you do is choose to install the new linux onto the windows partition (you will need to change the filesystem, but the installer should help with this). Don't install a bootloader, just add the new distro to your /etc/lilo.conf or your /boot/grub.grub.conf in another already installed distro if you have it. If you dan't have any other distro's installed then remember to install the bootloader.
