    Help plz

I have a system right now with Xp-pro and Win 98.
Is it possible for me to wipe 98 off and install linux on that drive without having to re-install Xp.

    Most likley.

Do you know how the drive is partitioned, and where each OS is installed?

If not, reboot form win98 to MSDOS and launch a program called fdisk, it will (under option 4) i believe, describe the drive partitions - write all that down, and let me know what you have...

If xp is on your first partition.
No problem, don't install Linux first then re install windows xp next. Xp will spank your dual boot ability which can be repaired, but the work around is re install linux

Both installs are ancient and are low resource operating systems.
You better know the limitations of your hardware before proceeding.

I think Minimal hardware requirements apply here.

To supplement the above post. Tiny linux distros exist like puppy and dsl (damn small linux). They have much lower resource requirements.
