Booting Issues.
I recently attempted to install some distros of linux on my xp box. I tried fedora, redhat and mandrake and they all were working fine until I tried fully installing fedora, it wiped my previous xp partition as it wasn't allowing me to dual boot. But now when I try to install Fedora, Mandrake or Red Hat it says :
input/out error during read on /dev/hda
And is having all sorts of bootloader problems..

Did you have your bootloader configured on the MBR in your NTFS partition or your linux partition, or did you have it on a boot partition? Also, what bootloader are you using?

So what is(are) your exact problem(s) during the installation? Please be more specific. Is it not booting the cd(dvd)? Does it not recognize your hard disk?

It says :
input/out error during read on /dev/hda
or
problem with bootloader, Press any button
And it is not allowing me to add an os such as Linux.
