Problem Installing Linux
Hello.
I was able to put Linux onto a CD-RW and I can run the setup on boot. However, when I get to the Partitions part, and I tell it to erase the drive, it'll get to 33%, and then just stop.
I'm trying to install it on a IMB Thinkpad, with 128MB of ram, and a 700MHz processor.
Any help would be much appreciated

Does it show any errors, shutdown or freeze?

No errors, just sits there, not doing anything. Plus its getting really hot...
I'm trying to install Ubuntu (http://www.ubuntulinux.org/). Was the first one I found so decided to go with that one.

If you have Knoppix available, I suggest you try that, use the QtParted program on it to format your drive. Another option - but a bit radical - would be to wipe your MBR, that way you have a clean start

It is possible you have an over heating issue.
With a can of compressed air blow the dust out of the fan, If there is any there.
You might want to look inside the computer to see if there is any dust there as well.
And try installing in different steps.
Use knoppix, most livecds will work, to create the partitions. How to know if you are a geek.
