    Shoving Debian on 2nd HD

How easy is it for the Debian installer to shove Debian on my 2nd HD, hdb without shafting Windows XP on my primary HD, hda?

Went to install it a few days ago and quickly pressed the off switch as I felt a bit out of me depth.

I really don't have a lot of experience with debian, but I would assume that you could just partiton hdb and install it there. I'm shure there are som people on this board that could elaborate on this

    it is perfectly possible

when you cfdisk your hard drive, make sure you do hdb and the rest of the install should be a breeze.

I *think* you would install lilo to /dev/hda , but im not 100% sure.

yeah... you do.. if you don't the windows boot loader would still have control over the puter unless you told your BIOS to boot from second HD
