problem with grub
When i had the choice to install grub at dev/hda or in the MBR i chosed MBR... however when i boot my system , after a couple of seconds it freezes. It is written GRUB, and nothing else happens after that. I tried using the rescue disc and it works. But can someone tells me what should i do in order to boot my system without the rescue disc? did i install GRUB at the wrong place ? thanks

1) when you boot off of the rescue disk look at the grub.conf or menu.lst file that it creates and copy the entries.
2) as root run "grub-install /dev/hda"
3) as root goto /boot/grub. If you see a grub.conf open it up and paste in the lines you copied, if not create /boot/grub/grub.conf and paste in the lines you copied...same with menu.lst.Operating System: GNU Emacs
