Install linux in Centrino notebook,......
Hey guyz, i just bought Acer Travelmate 290 with centrino 1.3G, itried to install Mandrake Linux 8.1 but i had problems as it crashed on the booting.Can anyone tell me what Linux i can use in my machine?Many thanks in advance

My work laptop is currently running gentoo and it has the centrino chipset(1.6ghz). If you want to use wireless though, you need to wait for intel to release their drivers. Supposed to do that in the first half of 04.
