    Weird dual boot question

    Ok, heres the thing. I have Windows XP on an SATA HD. I have Linux on an IDE drive plugged into the primary master. So, when I boot up, I of course only can boot up to linux. How can I make it where I choose at start up. Oh, btw I have lilo, not grub.

    i am not very familiar with lilo but you can refer to this website.

    seems to me like all you need to do is edit the /etc/lilo.conf and add
    other=/dev/hdb
    label=Windows
    i'm doing a bit of guess work though... if you can post your /etc/lilo.conf it would be helpfull.

    You need to install lilo to the MBR in order for it to run at startup. The link jpalfree gave you tells you how to do this.
