    Instalation on compaq evo 1015v notebook

    Hola, I have a problem when i install linux red hat 9 in my notebook.
    I boot my notebbok whith the instalation cd and show me the language configuration then the keyboard configuration and finaly the location of the cd of instalation I select cd room but the instalation show me a error message that the cd room of linux is not on the cd room.

    I install the same cds in other co puter and the instalatios was sucsesfuly

    pass parameters

    Yes the cdrom drives on the compaqs are strange.

    do a search in google for "install redhat 9 compaq evo" and you will find some instructions on how to get this working. you need to pass kernel parameters with the boot - not just press enter.
