Linux running on windows

Is there a distro out there that can run on a windows partition, WITHOUT needing a seprate partition, or having to boot from CD?

(Sorry for the quick post, i'm very much so in a hurry)

I've never used this one personally, but you might try CoLinux:

Also, if you just want to get familiar with command-line Linux but don't necessarily want the whole OS, you could try Cygwin:

I think it is SLAX, but you can run it in an emulation window through windows OS. There are several liveCDs that probably fit that mold...and doesn't ZipSlack also have that capability?

If you just want to play with stuff, check out a decent liveCD or one of these that will allow you to run the os via an emulator...
