    splash screen

    Friends.


    I have rh9 installed on my machine and ii would like to change the grup background picture. I already have a another picture that i want to use. The thing is I wet through a site and got a tip to use GIMP to create splash.xpm file which then is gzipped to splash.xpm.gz. I set the resolution also to 640X480 and followed the steps properly. But after all this the machine does not load my nackground picture. It just goes black and then after 10 secs starts loading rh9. Please if anyone can help me solve this problem it qould me of great help.

    How did you change your splash screen? Did you write in grub.conf the source of the image that you want? I know i got some problems with RH 7.2 when i tryed this out. Not only black screen... I really damaged my grub...
