i made the cd the first boot device but it still wont work is it possible that that drive is just not bootable? is the computer too old or is the disk drive to old?

Did you remember to save your settings and then reboot the computer? When you did reboot what happened?

when i rebooted it it worked fine but the cd still did not boot
