    need help with installations

    I couldn't install my Radeon 9200 in linux. I also couldn't set my refresh rate higher to its default. I am a software developer and i cannot find out how to start Java programming in linux. Where can i find java compilers for linux? and how do i install them? How do i remove a package. I have lots of questions. Help?

    Java you can dowload from http://www.sun.com both compilers and SDK.
    Screen resolution you can change in /etc/X11/XF86config

    To install rpm pakages=rpm-ivh <package name> to remove packages rpm -e <package name>
