Redhat 8.0 Install over 7.X
I've got two machines, one running 7.3 and one 7.2. I installed 8.0 over the 7.3 system and had some problems. There were some packages that I'd installed that overlapped what the 8.0 release was going to upgrade and it gave me a warning. Sure enough, I had problems. At bootup, depmod is looking in the wrong place for the modules.conf file.
What's the best way to build a system, add a few software packages/upgrades, then upgrade that same system when a new release comes out? I'd like to upgrade the other system, but if it's going to cause problems....
