Smoothwall 0.98 bootup error message
I am using Smoothwall 0.98 on an old HP desktop P1 with 96Mb RAM.
Everytime I switch this PC on, I receive a bootup error message saying
Code: ac ....followed by numbers and letters
Kernel panic: attempted to kill the idle task!
In swapper task - not syncing
When I receive this error message, I have to restart the PC, boot in the BIOS setup, quit from it, and then the firewall starts up fine.
I am new to Smoothwall and Linux although I setup this firewall myself, and two online people were kind enough to tell me how to setup a modem on it.
Can anyone help me with this ?
Do I need to upgrade the BIOS ?
